To be honest I did not think I was even going to end up at Whistle this year and I know I had made some comments eariler about what i thought was a weak lineup. With all that said I had a great time at the party. I stayed for the entire set of the turntablist Q-Bert, who did seem out of place in the main room with the other trance DJs, however skill like his can go in any room at any time. He spun a mostly hip hop/ funk set and thanks to the projectors the whole tent could see how he worked the decks. It was ill. I managed to chat it up with a few of the Philly DJs like Nigel Richards of 611 records, Dave Stevens from Deep Nights and Mahmoud of the Stunt Doublez - pointless name droping, a missed opportunity for internal link, a weak attempt to show how cool I am...? You decide!  :P
