Large Account Management Process? For ZH cash reserves before the Hedge woes? Off the geek deep-end.
They must have just meant "light source"... Maybe they feel ZeroHour is like a musical beacon. I am going to settle for that one.
Starscape, I'm sorry...

After weeks of bashing the party, yes, I did go to Starscape. Not only did I go, but I totally worked it. Hours before even getting into the venue I was passing out fliers for the upcoming party Big Liberty and hitting up the endless rows of cars. I was with Stotle from Sound Force Productions , a man that has been instrumental in the Philly Electronic Dance music scene for over a decade. "The scene always changes," he calmly explained to me as I briefly lamented over the changes Starscape has gone through. I complained about a couple of bands coming in to the party to the man that used to drive out to places like Chicago to promote for Whistle back when it was in New Jersey and drew 10,000 people. Needless to say, when Stotle was talking, I was taking notes. The party itself was ok. I mostly stayed in the Jungle room talking drum and bass etiquette with Dick Bagel, lyricist and producer with the Ew That's Nasty crew . Topics ranged from, when is the right time to do a rewind (Adam F you listening?), why almost every DJ felt the need to play the same tracks from Pendulum's album, and how to bring lasting peace to both rudeboys and soundboys all over Jah's green Earth? In the Trance room in the middle of some ill sticking I gave myself a nasty charlie horse. After getting some aqua in me I switched from freehand glowstick dancing mode to the much less taxing freehand glowstick teaching mode. I rate the whole experience a C. Regardless of whatever bands they stick up on the main stage and whatever DJs they cram into two tents, the sunrise over the Francis Scott Key Bridge is still just as beautiful. Starscape, I know we had our differences - you broke my heart... but I still love you gurl.

PS
Yes, that's how the writters chose to end the show that they had been working on for eight years (not you). If you dont like it write your own intelligent dark enthralling tale of a New Jersy mafia don trying to balance both home and work, past and future, family and "family."

The Wire is the best show on TV - maybe now you Sopranoes' freaks will recognize.
Whistle...and beyond!

To be honest I did not think I was even going to end up at Whistle this year and I know I had made some comments eariler about what i thought was a weak lineup. With all that said I had a great time at the party. I stayed for the entire set of the turntablist Q-Bert, who did seem out of place in the main room with the other trance DJs, however skill like his can go in any room at any time. He spun a mostly hip hop/ funk set and thanks to the projectors the whole tent could see how he worked the decks. It was ill. I managed to chat it up with a few of the Philly DJs like Nigel Richards of 611 records, Dave Stevens from Deep Nights and Mahmoud of the Stunt Doublez - pointless name droping, a missed opportunity for internal link, a weak attempt to show how cool I am...? You decide! :P
Pictures from Whistle are available on Wiggle Productions website in a pretty cool gallery, however do yourself a favor - take off the sound (ugh)
Shouts to everyone that rocked out with us at Sin City this past Saturday - Special props go out to DJ Bis who killed it at the Hot Import Nights Car Show...
In a few weeks the world traveled and world recognized DJ and producer Paul Van Dky comes into the city of Philadelphia. For the scene, PVD is going to bring more then hundreds of loyal fans from the entire northeast region and high energy melodic trance. He is also going to bring a clear and resonating message that despite the recent hard times in the Philly electronic dance music world, despite the growing legions of the jaded with their veneration of "back in the day" and endless prophecies of looming doom, Philadelphia does in fact still have love for techno and a heart strong enough to pump out big names. October 6th will find the world's number two ranked DJ doing what he does best, moving crowds to the highest levels of trance euphoria. It will also find the production crew Local 13 doing what they do best, throwing an amazing party, and combining names and numbers in a city that should have been taken over by sports bars and hip hop clubs months ago.
